Cabrillo College
Cabrillo College is a community college providing lower division general education and major preparation courses leading to an associate degree (and/or to a transfer to a four-year college/university). Cabrillo College also provides education and training in selected occupational fields leading to job entry, advancement, retraining and certification.

University of California Santa Cruz
The University of California, Santa Cruz, opened in 1965 and grew, one college at a time, to its current (1999-2000) enrollment of approximately 11,000 students. Some 90 percent of the students are undergraduates, who pursue over 40 majors supervised by divisional deans of humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and arts. Graduate students work toward graduate certificates, master's degrees, or Ph.D. degrees in 26 academic fields under the supervision of the divisional and graduate deans. California State University Monterey Bay
California State University, Monterey Bay celebrated its opening on August 24, 1995. Founded on the former Fort Ord in 1994, the University's 1,500 acres are now home to 2,100 students.
